My Unorthodox Methods

I take a very unorthodox path when it comes to my tutoring. I work on enabling the student to discover the correct path seemingly on their own. I am always very patient with any student, never having become frustrated at any of my previous students. I will work WITH the student, setting up a system of trial and error to better help them succeed on their own in the future. With this system, I have the student attempt the problem, with only minimal guidance(to prevent the student from getting frustrated), until they finally can exclaim with confidence "I get this! I FINALLY get this!"

I specialize in the "hopeless" cases. Students who have been turned away by others because they are "just too lost", or  saying "it's too late" I prefer to work with these cases, because these are the people who deserve to succeed. The look on the face of these students when they finally understand a concept for the first time is one of the most rewarding sights this world has to offer, and that is exactly what I strive for.

In closing, I treat all of my students with respect, whether they are five years old or fifty. I pride myself with my versatility and adaptability, as well as pinpointing the real problem. That being said, I normally use the first session as an assessment, working on discovering these true issues, then working on remedying them in the same session, if we have time.
