Background
We at CleverCat Tutoring take pride in our community and do our utmost best to make our community a better place. As proponents of a strong educational system for ALL students and civics/econ buffs, we take politics and our civic and political duties very seriously. It doesn't exactly make sense for us to teach about being good citizens in our nation and community if we aren't leading by example, does it?
While our tutoring business may be based in Mooresville and the surrounding towns and cities, we are personally located in Cleveland, NC, which is part of Rowan County. Rowan County has, for the past several years, been under seige by the unchecked and radicalized powers of the Tea Party Patriots. These individuals have done tremendous harm to our county and it is the function of La Resistance PAC to help stop their reign of ridiculousness.
About La Resistance
La Resistance is a Political Action Committee based in Rowan County in North Carolina. We are a trans-partisan group that spans many beliefs and political opinions, but we're united by one thing - the removal of Jim Sides and Craig Pierce (and their "Tea Party" compatriots) from office. This isn't a "Democratic" or "Republican" or any other political opinion solution - it's a community solution to a problem that affects everyone in our home county.
You may have heard of La Resistance's efforts to get voters to change their registration to "Unaffiliated." This was so that we can help eliminate the problem of Jim Sides in the Republican primary election on May 6th. Jim Sides has been allowed to reign unchecked and as a result: our taxes have increased, our schools have felt the pinch of budget cuts, we've purchased a declining mall that we don't need, we're fighting a losing legal battle over the separation of church and state against the ACLU (a needless battle as the First Amendment calls for the separation of church and state), and many animals are being needlessly put to death because we do not have a "no-kill" animal shelter. These are just a few of the many things to happen under his watch. This MUST end.
CleverCat Tutoring's Involvement
CleverCat Tutoring offers a wide variety of subjects, including Civics and Government. We seek to educate future as well as current generations on how the political system is run, and help them discover their own beliefs in this system. To this end, we are working in support of La Resistance, to dismantle this political machine before it warps this system any further. CleverCat Tutoring is proud to support La Resistance and their efforts to restore the reputation of Rowan County through positive political change. As good citizens of our county, we feel it is the only right thing to do and what a responsible political watchdog would do.
